With a staggering 300bhp, this is the fastest, most powerful front wheel drive, family car Ford has ever built.

It's 2.5-litre five cylinder turbocharged engine produces an awe inspiring 440Nm of torque, and will rev to a impressive 7,050rpm.

Capable of sprinting from 0-62mph in just 5.9seconds, the car is also capable of a staggering 165mph.

The newcomer is heavy though, tipping the scales at 1,467kg, yet this doesn't seem to have affected fuel economy, which is claimed to be 30.5mpg.

CO2 emissions place the model in Band G - with the car emitting 225g/co2 per kilometer.

The figures have all been released today, as Ford prepares to luanch its hotly anticipated model in March.

There's still no word on prices, however, which are estimated to kick off at around ÃÆ'ƒâ€Ã...¡ÃÆ'ââ,¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ,£25,000

The spiritual successor to the bewinged Escort Cosworth, the new Focus RS gets an individual new look. Up front, thereÃÆ'ƒÂÃ,¢ÃÆ'Ã,¢Ã¢â‚¬Ã...¡Ã‚Ã,¬ÃÆ'Ã,¢Ã¢â‚¬Ã...¾Ã‚Ã,¢s a gloss black grille, plus circular spotlights and bonnet air intakes, while the rear gets a spoiler inspired by FordÃÆ'ƒÂÃ,¢ÃÆ'Ã,¢Ã¢â‚¬Ã...¡Ã‚Ã,¬ÃÆ'Ã,¢Ã¢â‚¬Ã...¾Ã‚Ã,¢s world rally contender and a diffuser with twin exhaust pipes.

Completing the arrangement are 19-inch multispoke alloys wrapped in low-profile tyres.

Inside, the RS is fitted with Recaro seats with body-coloured detailing, carbon fibre trim on the centre console and a brushed aluminium gearlever.

Se habla ya de que el Nuevo Megane Sport tendra 1.8t, abandonando el 2.0t, y tendra 250HP, no creo que dejen escapar al Focus y haran alguna version mas agresiva con mas potencia... no esta todo dicho aun.

Coincido 100% con el Señor Rivelli (Mr. Renault Sport)... me gusta mas la Meganetta Coupe ademas... y oBVio la Clietta 3 Sport... y bue... me tira el Rombo y encima hacen cosas mas lindas...

igual mi yahoo 75 cv ta mucho mejor  :D  ay ay ay  este club da para todo

 a mi esteticamente no me convence(es lindo pero no es de mi estilo, o mejor dicho  no tiene estilo, pero llama la atencion), ahora 300 hp!!!!!, hay q ver como los transmiten al piso, la potencia sin control no sirve de nada, quiza con menos potencia pero mejor plantado y con sus cv bien puestos, en pista lo pasas por arriba. y hay q ver el tema del peso....podes tener 50 hp mas pero si tenes 200 kilos mas....

De acuerdo con vos. A los autos con turbo sacarles potencia es fácil, el tema es ponerla en el piso. Que yo sepa ese sería el primer auto de mas de 250hp con tracción delantera. Está el Alfta GTA o algo asi que tiene un V6 de 230hp algo así que no lo hacen doblar de ninguna forma para el 1/4 de milla va bárbaro pero en un circuito le gana una zanellita con escape. Este que tiene 300 algo debe tener para poner la potencia en el piso sino en vez de un auto debe ser una máquina de quemar gomas.

PD: al megane turbo que tiene 225hp no le sacaron mas potencia por un tema de agarre nada más al motor ese se le saca 300 hp todos los dias...

Para eso se hizo la electronica, el autoblocante. etc. y sin electronica estan los buenos pilotos.

Con ese Criterio no existieron los autos de Rally de traccion delantera 300cv y la misma tecnologia que un Karting.
